​Louis has over 20 years of broad-based investment and business management experience with particular expertise in asset allocation strategies. He was most recently a Senior Managing Director at Windhaven Investment Management, a pioneer in the use of ETFs to implement global asset allocation and a subsidiary of the Charles Schwab Corporation. At Windhaven he served as a member of the Management Committee and the Investment Committee and was responsible for the firm’s distribution effort. Prior to Windhaven, Louis was Managing Principal of Windward Investment Management. Schwab acquired the company’s assets and intellectual property in 2010. Prior to Windward, Louis was a Vice President in the Wealth Management Division of Goldman Sachs & Co. where he worked with corporate executives and high net worth families advising them on asset allocation decisions, manager selection and diversification of large single-stock positions. Louis has authored/edited several books, most recently Selling Your Business: The Transition from Entrepreneur to Investor (Wiley, 2004). He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, a Master of Education from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth. Louis is a former board member of Roxbury Preparatory Charter School and a current board member at the Foundation for MetroWest. He lives in Wellesley with his wife and two children and enjoys coaching town athletic teams and is an avid skier and tennis player. Louis can be reached at
